ODI: Black Doctorates Panel Discussion - 2/21/12
This black deaf doctorates panel discussion is a unique opportunity for Gallaudet University, MSSD, and KDES students to learn about the three types of doctorates degrees and how the black deaf doctorate panelists overcame the odds to achieve the highest-level academic degree. There are only an estimated 12 black deaf individuals in the U.S. who hold such degrees. A panel of 10 will share with the audience how they did it. It is so important that our future leaders dream beyond their circumstances and have hope that they, too, can achieve such an accomplishment. --Sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion February 21, 2012

Discussing Racism w/ Wegahta Aresei
A RAW conversation with Wegahta Aresei (of Colorme Humor here on Facebook) about how she feels about all going on in our community right now. We touched different topics from African born versus American born Black communities, what’s going on with Gallaudet, the lack of heart and vulnerability in all the apology videos and MORE. ❤️ The interview on IGTV was cut off at the 1 hour mark, so this is the full interview with a powerful closing.
